Why, Hello There!
Welcome to my Blog.. It's nice to meet you!
Trying something new is always scary. I recently created this website so all my clients and future clients can get to know me. I figured a Blog with everyday inspiration, or helpful tips and tricks might allow me to connect with you even more! I have never been one to read blogs, or communicate through them, but hey, there's a first time for everything. So here is my attempt to try something totally new, start a blog to give my site a voice, and let my personality shine through!
"Everyone wants to live on the top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it." - Andy Rooney
I am the youngest in my family - the baby girl, so to speak. I have two older brothers and my beautiful parents whom I look up to. I come from a family of successful, well-rounded entrepreneurs. Watching each of them grind for what they believe in and want in their lives, and come out on top, has inspired me to always do what makes me happy and chase my dreams - that failure is a learning opportunity, not a reason to shy away!
I have always felt, that in order to be happy, you truly need to be at one with yourself. To know your needs and wants, likes and dislikes, goals and aspirations. When you truly know who you are and what you want from this life, only then will you find true happiness. Naturally, this is much easier said than done, as you're forever evolving, learning and wanting different things. So I live my life day-to-day, trusting the process, doing what makes me happy, and going after what I believe in - the rest will always fall into place.
How I Ended Up Here, The Sparks Notes Version.
I spent my undergraduate studies as a York Kinesiology student in clinical and field settings. Upon graduation I received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, drawing particular attention to living a happy, healthy and active lifestyle - your body and mind are your temple, treat them well!
Following my post-secondary education, I completed Humber’s Post-Graduate Public Relations Certificate program, forming a liking for communications and event planning.
I am of the mind that if you're going to do something, do it right. So after realizing my love of weddings, I went back to school and received a professional certificate in Wedding Planning and Destination Wedding Planning that same year, and am now an active WPIC (Wedding Planners Institute of Canada) Member.
Shortly after opening my own Wedding and Event Planning company, I joined The Arlington Estate family as their Executive Coordinator. My passion and love for events, especially weddings, fuels my dedication and hard work in planning the perfect event for my clients.
I never back down from a challenge, and am constantly looking for new avenues to explore and new learning opportunities for personal and professional growth. I strongly believe you are never stuck with one career and always strive for bigger and better - the work ethic my family instilled in me at a young age!
Honouring my personal mantra, I decided to pursue my love of all things Home, dabbling in passion projects for interior design, and recently becoming a licensed Real Estate Sales Representative. Whether buying, selling, or investing, to be able to guide clients through such high-stress times, and turn the experience into something light and enjoyable - as it should be - is something I thrive on!
